Finding an organization or historic place

How to find a Round Table, museum, society, battlefield, or park, and what the page tells you.

Go to Historic Organizations and Places from the menu at the top of every page, or open civilwarevents.com/organizations.
Choose a kind of listing (Civil War Round Tables, Museums, Historic Properties, and so on), or type a name or town in the search box and press Search.
Narrow the results with the State list. You can also tick "Has upcoming events" to see only organizations with something on the calendar.
Open a listing. The page shows where and when the organization meets or opens, how to get in touch, upcoming events, and a verification label saying how the information was checked.
To write to the organization, use the Send a message button on its page. Your message goes to the organization directly; its address is not shown to you.

Worth knowing

Every listing carries a "last verified" date. Older dates mean the details may have changed — check the organization's own website before travelling.
If a listing is wrong, use "Claim or update this listing" on the page to tell us.
