Contacting an organization safely
How the Send a message button works and how to protect yourself.
- On an organization's page, press Send a message. Enter your name, your email address, and your message, then press Send.
- We forward your message to the address the organization gave us. The organization sees your name and email address so it can reply to you directly. You do not see theirs unless the organization has chosen to publish it.
- The organization replies from its own email. Check that the reply is about what you asked before acting on it.
- Never send money, bank details, or passwords in response to a message. No organization listed here will ask for them through this site, and CivilWarEvents.com will never ask for a password by email.
- If a reply seems wrong or suspicious, tell us at info@historicalpublicationsllc.com and we will look into the listing.
Worth knowing
- We do not keep copies of messages sent through the form.
- Each address can send a limited number of messages an hour, to stop the form being used for spam.
