DESCRIPTION:The National Park Service (NPS) is in the early stages of dev
 eloping an adaptive management plan for white-tailed deer (the plan) for
  Richmond National Battlefield Park (the park). The purpose of the plan 
 is to provide a framework that supports a viable deer population while a
 lso protecting the park’s cultural and natural resources. NPS will host 
 a public meeting at the Varina Public Library\, located at 1875 New Mark
 et Road in Henrico\, VA\, on Tuesday\, September 22nd\, 2026\, from 6 p.
 m. to 8 p.m. EDT. The open house will provide an opportunity to learn ab
 out deer-related impacts on the park\, to discuss this information with 
 the NPS team\, and to provide written comments. Since this is an open ho
 use\, there will be no formal presentation or recording\, and attendees
